Borneo Chic brings tradition from frontier areas to bustling cities of Indonesia. The products are the works of over 300 indigenous Dayak artisans, mostly women, who live in and around the forest of Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo. Borneo Chic showcases the creative talent of indigenous weavers whose craft risks extinction due to forest loss and lack of appreciation and value of their art. The collection highlight stories of meanings and beliefs behind indigenous traditions while presenting sustainable products traced from mountain to metropolis.
